Mr. Beaubien counsels clients in various intellectual property law matters including preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, infringement studies, and litigation support. He is knowledgeable in the mechanical, electromechanical, and other sciences related to the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries, among others. Before joining Reising Ethington P.C. in 2002, he worked at ANR Pipeline Co. and Visteon Corporation.
Mr. Beaubien received a Mechanical Engineering degree from G.M.I. Engineering & Management Institute (now Kettering University), and received a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School. While at G.M.I., he studied abroad in Germany at the University of Applied Sciences for the International Automotive Engineering Program. He was a member of the Pi Tau Sigma engineering honor society and the Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society.
Mr. Beaubien is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
In his spare time, Mr. Beaubien enjoys running, biking, skiing, reading, and music. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Homes For Autism, a nonprofit organization that owns and operates several homes in Southeast Michigan for adults with autistic challenges.
