Before joining our firm in 2001, Mr. Grove practiced patent law for the General Motors Corporation for 36 years. His practice at General Motors included patent preparation and prosecution, technology licensing, and patent litigation. He had supervisory responsibility for a chemical/metallurgical patent group and served as Patent Counsel to the General Motors Research and Development Center. Mr. Grove continues a patent preparation and prosecution practice involving the full scope of automotive technologies.
Mr. Grove is a graduate of the University of Michigan with BS degrees in Chemistry and
Chemical Engineering and a MS degree in Chemical Engineering. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Detroit (now the University of Detroit - Mercy).
He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, including its Patent, Trademark and Copyright Section, and is registered as an attorney to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has served as President of the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association.
